By downloading or using Commune you agree to these terms. If you do not agree please do not use the app.

What Commune Is

Commune is an entertainment and educational application that simulates contact experiences with non-human intelligence based on publicly documented encounter cases and reported behavioral patterns. The AI personas within Commune are simulated experiences inspired by historical reports and witness testimony.

Commune does not claim to provide actual contact with extraterrestrial or non-human beings. All conversations are generated by artificial intelligence and are fictional in nature, informed by documented case research.

Your Account

Commune uses anonymous authentication. You do not need to create an account with personal information. Your in-app progress, conversation history, and trust levels are stored on your device and are your responsibility to maintain. We are not liable for data lost due to device failure, app deletion, or operating system changes.

Subscriptions

Commune offers auto-renewing subscriptions on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are governed by Apple's terms and conditions.

Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. We do not offer refunds outside of Apple's standard refund policy.

Free tier users have access to a limited number of messages before being invited to subscribe. This limit may change over time.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Commune in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, manipulate, or exploit the AI systems within the app. You agree not to use the app to generate content intended to deceive, harass, or harm others.

We reserve the right to terminate access for any user found to be abusing the platform.

AI Generated Content

All responses generated within Commune's contact feature are produced by artificial intelligence. These responses are fictional and for entertainment and educational purposes only. They do not represent actual communications from extraterrestrial beings, scientific fact, or verified information.

You should not make significant life decisions based on content generated within Commune. We are not responsible for how you interpret or act upon AI generated responses.

Intellectual Property

All content within Commune including species profiles, case data presentations, UI design, and original written content is owned by us or used with appropriate rights. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the app without our written permission.

Historical case information referenced within the app is based on publicly documented accounts and is presented for educational purposes.

Disclaimer Of Warranties

Commune is provided as is without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be available at all times, free of errors, or that AI responses will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on content within the app.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Commune. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the three months prior to the claim.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
